Marine Sergeant Julian C. Chase, 22, of Edgewater, MD, was assigned to 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan. Sgt Chase died in Helmand province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.
